PUPPY BUYER QUESTIONNAIRE


   If you are interested in one of our puppies, please complete the following questionnaire. Once you have been approved for a puppy, a non refundable deposit must be made in order to hold your place in line for a puppy.  

   

   Buyers beware of breeders that simply want you to buy a puppy without asking questions.  They often have no concern for the type of home the dog will have, and the health or temperaments of the dogs they are producing.  This will leave the buyer with a dog with a lifetime of problems.

1.  Why have you decided on this breed?


2.  Do you currently own any pets/please list?   


3. Do you prefer a male or a female?  Why?


4. Are you looking for a show prospect or family pet?


5. Have you ever given away, had to euthanize a dog, or had to send a dog back to a breeder? If yes, please explain.


6. Please describe your family to me.  Please indicate the number of people and ages of children.

 

7. Do you rent or own your home?

8. What size yard do you have?  Is it fenced?

9. How will you be housing the puppy?  

10. Do you understand that giant breeds have special nutritional needs, they SLOBBER, and can grow to be as heavy as 200lbs?  

11.  Do you have a veterinarian? What is their name and phone number?

12.  If this puppy is purchased for any reason other than a show prospect, do you agree to have it spayed or neutered?
13.  Do you understand that if ever for ANY reason you can't keep this puppy, you are required to give it back to Grissom Great Danes so we can find another suitable home for it?  We don't want our puppies to EVER end up in a shelter or unapproved home.  We feel responsible for them for life!

15.  Are you financially prepared for not only the cost of a puppy, but to feed your puppy the best dog food, obedience or show classes, emergency surgeries, etc.
